The man who taught us                                                                   

The value of time,

His knowledge was

Incredibly sublime.

 

He walked upon the

non-violence path,

fears and threats were

way apart.

 

Preaching all the way that

‘Forgiveness is nobility’,

He recited the songs of

Peace and unity.

 

When Indians were shattered

Struggling to stand,

Bappu emerged as

A helping hand.

 

The man who fought

for law and justice,

freedom to India

was his only promise.

 

His values will be passed

from generation to generation,

for he is our beloved

‘Father of the Nation’.

 

No matter how high

India rises in the sky,

Bappu will remain in history

For some people never die.

 

This Gandhi Jayanti

With the sun that will rise,

Let us commemorate bappu with

Blissful tears in our eyes.
