THE DRESS
I opened
my cluttered wardrobe today,
Throwing all
my clothes frantically,
Here, there and everywhere
trying to find the perfect fit.
Out came some jeans
and tops and socks,
And tracks and shorts
and skirts and frocks.
But then something
caught my eye.
The dress long abandoned,
long forgotten.
Not because it was too large
or small or short.
But it was heavy,
heaviest of all.
It was the perfect dress
I would never be able to wear again.
With names of my loved ones
written on the back,
All my memories
came rushing back to me.
With teary eyes
and a heavy heart,
I kept my school uniform
back in the wardrobe...
Nostalgic.... Unexpected but really touching end...really good one.. :).. keep it up dear....

I still have your letter which you wrote for me when you were in grade 6. I'm so proud to have been your teacher. Keep inking your pen. Do not let the ink dry. All the best. God bless you. Luv u lots.
